A life host
I produce a lot of digital content, on many different places with many different tools. My blogs are the primary aggregators of all this content, but not everything’s on there. And certainly not everything is hosted by me. This could become a problem, and personally I would love to see a different solution. Jon Udell’s story in combination with Marc Canter’s notions on the DLA could point to one…
Although this notion of a hosted lifebits service seems inevitable in the long run, it’s not at all clear how we’ll get there. The need is not yet apparent to most people, though it will increasingly become apparent. The technical aspects are somewhat challenging, but the social and business aspects are even more challenging.

Hey Yme,
We feel the same way, and have been quite a lot of thinking about what components need to be pulled together in order to make all of this easier.
